Father of the Bride (1991)
Steve Martin plays a father who is struggling to accept that his little girl has grown up in this heartwarming but also fun family classic.
Runaway Bride (1999)
This late 90’s American romantic comedy film starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gee. A reporter (Richard Gee) is assigned the task of writing a story about a woman who has left a string of finances at the altar.
Sex and The City (2008)
The wedding Carrie had dreamed of having with Big was supposed to be a big affair and the wedding of the year in New York City. That is until Big develops cold feet and leaves her stranded at the altar. A story that reminds us of the importance of friendships and that all that truly matters when we get married is declaring your love for one another.
Bridesmaids (2011)
This is a must see before you’re married. Leading the cast is Kristen Wiig, maid of honour to her lifetime best friend Lillian she must do everything in her power to make it perfect. A film that will leave you and your own bridesmaids in stitches.
My Best Friend’s Wedding (2017)
One of the best and most classic romantic comedy films of all time, I need not say any more about this one.
27 Dresses (2008)
This film is the perfect dose of romance and comedy to enjoy with your bridal bride. Follow Jane (Katherine Heigl) who has been a bridesmaid for 27 weddings, as she discovers her own happy ending.
Mamma Mia! (2006)
This film is great for some destination wedding inspiration, set on a beautiful Greek island. With a great cast, iconic Abba soundtrack that will have you singing out loud and a heartwarming story of discovery it’s a great film.
Bride Wars (2007)
Best friends since childhood, there for one another through the good and the bad and they even get engaged within days of one another. However, they’re about to become rivals when it so happens that their wedding has been scheduled for the same day. Which bride will win?
Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994)
Last but by no little means is this definitive British romantic-comedy from the early 90’s. Hugh Grant’s character attends four weddings where he is stuck in a room overwhelmed with newlyweds consummating their marriage. Things get worse when he is placed on a table with all of his ex-girlfriends. Falling for the near-unattainable American, as well as the other events before he becomes part of the singular most iconic kissing in the rain scene ever recorded on film.
