Calke Abbey Pop up Wedding Village, Huge Success
On Sunday 11th May 2014 our company exhibited at the first ever Pop up wedding village, hosted by Save the Date magazine and Honeysuckle and Castle. The event which was held at Calke Abbey in Leicestershire went down a treat and despite the wind and rain, brides and grooms came along to embrace this new experience.
On the day over 65 hand picked suppliers exhibited their wedding businesses for brides and grooms to sample, try, experience and browse. For us at Jackstar Weddings, the event was a chance to show off our high end, top quality equipment hire. Our white royal mail post box proved to be more popular than imagined with more and more people concerned with locking away their cards and gifts. Our post box is a perfect way to do this, in style. The post box itself weights around 20kg, is made from solid metal and can be locked with a key so that deposits can not be removed. Along with our post box, we also took along a small section of our white LED dance floor and white photo booth. The dance floor was set up in the perfect location, next to a band called The Distractions, who played sets throughout day, keeping everyone entertained and in high spirits. The photo booth was set up and in full working operation and so lots of bridal parties went in, with the prop box, to take away their personalised print.
On behalf of myself and the rest of the team I would like to say a huge thank you to Save the Date Magazine and Honeysuckle and Castle for putting on such a fabulous event. We are hoping that this is just the beginning…
