Just over 18 months ago I first met Emma and Adam on zoom. The biggest take away from that call was that they had been to lots of weddings, and they didn’t want theirs to be boring!

Now I’m not saying that anyone’s wedding is boring. But if you have been to a few weddings, you’ll probably have noticed (unless we were there of course!) that throughout the day, there can be a few ‘lulls’. Without the right entertainment, someone to look after your guests, they can be left wondering what they should be doing and how much longer your wedding photos are going to take!

Talking through the options, there was one package that was a clear winner for Emma and Adam. The All Day Party. This is our most popular All Day Package including music right from the ceremony, through to the end of the night. Now sure, that’s pretty awesome, but we have a few little tricks up our sleeve to fill in those ‘lull’s’ including a quiz during the drinks reception, pearls of wisdom (advice cards) during the wedding breakfast, and a game of Mr & Mrs during the evening. “Recently used Jackstar for our wedding at Donington Park Farmhouse hotel and we honestly couldn’t be happier with everything they did for us and we couldn’t recommend them enough! They are worth every penny and this is your sign to just BOOK THEM!!

We booked them around a year and a half before the wedding and from the initial zoom meeting we had, they have been incredible with us.

Louise dealt with the majority of our admin and then on the day we had Jack as our DJ and James doing the photo booth.

Louise was always so supportive, relaxed and friendly – Always responding to our emails or any questions we had and always being active on instagram. We also had access to their website portal which is very easy to use and helped make the planning seamless. You can add your timeline in and note down any songs you do / don’t want up to 10 days before.

We went with the all day party package with the photobooth guestbook included and we had the BEST day. We had a late afternoon wedding with no sit down wedding breakfast so it wasn’t very ‘traditional’. We told Louise from the get go that all we wanted was to make sure that there were never any boring luls on the day where the guests would get bored or be waiting around but we also didn’t want any awkward gaps where guests didn’t know where they needed to go – the team went above and beyond to make that happen for us and Jack took complete control on the day, making sure guests were moved into the rooms when needed, making announcements for us and ensuring there weren’t any ‘boring’ bits.

On the day, it was boiling hot so majority of our guests were outside in the courtyard. Jack didn’t falter once and let us do the quiz and speeches outside in the sun (with mics) rather than pulling everyone back inside – it really was amazing! Jack was incredibly patient with us all day and went out of his way checking in with us throughout and making sure we were happy.

The evening do started around 7:30pm and the photobooth and the dance floor props were a BIG hit with all of our guests and everyone has said what an amazing time they had (some questionable photos and videos have also emerged since to prove it) which is all we ever wanted!!!! Jack took all/any song requests from our guests throughout the night and even though it was boiling hot, the dance floor always seemed to have people on it!! 

James made sure majority of our guests signed the guestbook/used the photobooth so we actually have a full guestbook full of lots of funny pics of our family & friends! He also went out of his way and kept ahold of any extra copies for me that I wanted so I didn’t lose them.

I could go on and on about how fantastic it was but we honestly had the BEST day. It was better than we ever imagined and we had so much fun which was definitely down to the amazing team at Jackstar!! Our only complaint was that it just went too quick.

Again, we can’t thank you ENOUGH for helping to give us the wedding of our dreams and making everyone feel so involved. You are all so lovely and friendly and just an absolute pleasure to work with! The BEST!!!!”
