Sheradan & Ben | Magic Mirror Hire in Derbyshire.

Magic Mirrors are an eye-catching alternative to the photo booths, guaranteed to get all of your guests involved.

One of our future real brides, has hired our Magic Mirror for her wedding in April. Sherry first enquired about our services in January 2017 and we can’t believe we’re just weeks away from her wedding already! Today Sheradan is going to be sharing information about her special day along with why she chose to hire a Magic Mirror from us at Jackstar,

“On Saturday 28 April, I’ll be waking up for the very last time as Miss Pitt before marrying the love of my life, taking his name and becoming a wife. Planning my wedding is something I have dreamed of since I was a little girl. I used to draw pictures of myself in a big white gown, in front of a castle with my prince and plenty of pink roses surrounding us. Now, let me tell you something, castles are expensive. Oh, and massive! Ben and I wanted an intimate ceremony with all of our nearest and dearest – finding a venue that perfectly caters for our numbers without feeling too small or too big was a bit of a nightmare. Until we found ‘the one’.

Our venue, a perfect mix of modern meets passe, set alongside a river in Derbyshire, is everything I never knew I wanted. When Ben and I visited there for the first time, the drive and the location took our breath away. It’s at the very end of a road, you’re completely unable to go anywhere else and I really like how that makes me feel. It symbolises to me that we’ve reached the end of one road and as we leave the day after, we get to start a new one that leads on to so many more places.

It was a dream come true, walking through those big wooden doors only to hear a band playing one of my favourite songs. It was meant to be. Wandering around the rest of the venue, envisioning how we could decorate and what we could choose to go in each room was so exciting. Our colour theme is blush pink, steel grey and rose gold (oh, and white of course!) so I knew I wanted delicate florals and details to accompany the bigger things throughout the day. I’d always dreamt of having my table plan displayed on a big ornate mirror but Jackstar had something else in store for me. A big ornate mirror in antique gold that takes photos. Genius. I knew I wanted some sort of photo booth but trying to find one that looks pretty and classy without taking away from the rest of theme was so hard.

I didn’t want a pod or a retro style snapper. What I did know is that now, I wanted this. The Magic Mirror. I discovered Jackstar at one of the Supplier Fayres at our chosen wedding venue, it also helps that Jackstar is one of their recommended suppliers. I knew instantly I wanted to book this after it caught my attention. What I love about the Magic Mirror is that it looks decadent and compliments the rest of our theme and provides entertainment for our guests. Not only that but the option to double print for our guests to take home a memory of our special day, as well as, sticking one into our guestbook for us to remember all of the fun that was had. We can even have the print personalised with our date using a choice of colours and fonts. We can have animations on the mirror such as it cracking when it takes a photo which could be a great laugh. I know when I’ve used photo booths in the past, they are slightly laggy and you can’t really see what you look like properly. Whereas the Magic Mirror that Jackstar provided eliminated those issues. It’s real-time – literally looking into a mirror and it’s full length – who doesn’t love a full-length outfit shot?

I’m so excited to see all our guests enjoying themselves using the Magic Mirror and all the props that will be provided. I can’t wait to photo-bomb everyone’s photos! I think we only have a small amount left to pay which will be really easy to do by simply logging in to their user-friendly system with the details they provided and making the payment.

The customer service received so far has been second to none too. It’s going to go down a treat at our wedding. It was such a great find and something I’d never really seen before. I’m still thinking about whether I can stretch to their star-lit dance floor too.. (oh yes folks, they supply much more than just this amazing Magic Mirror).

We’ve also got a sweetie cart and a magician for our guests to enjoy in the evening too which will hopefully go down a storm too. I actually found the magician, Magic Duncan, at one of our friends weddings and almost got a headache trying to think how he guessed the answer to  my question! Our cake is coming from a small, local business in West Bridgford, Nottingham who makes the most amazing cakes – be sure to check her out on Instagram. And finally, we have a local Nottingham based band, The Burgundy’s, playing to our guests during that slight awkward-boring part between the ceremony and the wedding breakfast so hopefully, there’ll be plenty of Prosecco popping and dad-dancing whilst Ben and I take a moment to embrace married life in our Bentley.

Anyway, that’s enough rambling for now, I’ve a wedding to finish planning… under 50 days to go!”

Sheradan will be sharing her experience of Magic Mirror at the wedding in another blog post so look out for that at the end of April. We can’t wait to join her, Ben and their guests on what sounds like an incredible evening.
