The Wedding Industry Awards 2021

Despite the current situation it has been quite an interesting few weeks for us here at Jackstar HQ.

It may seem hard to believe that with the state of the wedding industry at the moment we’re very excited to announce we are regional finalists for the East Midlands Wedding DJ of the Year category in The Wedding Industry Awards!

I know you’re probably thinking how can there be wedding industry awards this year without weddings taking place?

Well it would be a shame to miss a whole year of excitement and in order for them to accommodate this there were a few adjustments to the usual criteria.

The awards are usually based on weddings which take place over a 12 month period starting around October each year. Of course there were a few couples who were lucky enough to tie the knot earlier this year before the pandemic hit but not nearly enough for the judges to make an informed decision over this years winner. With that in mind the organisers have extended the period to also include some of last years couples.

What happens next? Well now it’s over to the judges to review our votes (Thank you to all of our amazing couples!) and also assess our own answers to questions about how we manage our weddings and business.

Of course the Regional Final for the East Midlands wont be the same as it was last year (see below!) this time we’ll be finding out via an online awards ceremony.

Fingers crossed we will have some exciting news again this year!
