The Wedding Host

On Saturday 13th September 2014 our Wedding Host Jack had the pleasure of sharing Kate and Rob’s special day when they booked him for their ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception at the Nottingham Belfry.

The couple got in touch with our team at the start of the year and wedding host Jack went to meet them for the initial consultation, he also met with them at the venue a few months prior to the event and then a final meeting at their home a week before the big day to ensure everything went without a hitch!

The wedding ceremony

As guests entered the room ready to watch Kate and Rob exchange their vows our wedding host played a selection of background music to set the tone for the day. Throughout the ceremony Jack played, on cue, the music of Kate and Robs choice.

Following the ceremony itself, as guests went to enjoy a glass of champagne and have photographs, our wedding host moved the speakers and other equipment into the next room ready for the wedding breakfast.

The wedding breakfast

Guests arrived into the room to the sound of music setting the mood for the next part of the day. Our newly wed couple waited outside as the final guests were seated and the doors were closed. Wedding host Jack then had the pleasure of announcing the bride and groom into the room, where their guests were all standing, clapping, cheering and finally applauding as the couple entered to their favourite piece of music.

The wedding team

On the day itself, whilst wedding host Jack worked his magic in the room, our team worked behind the scenes to set up his evening wedding DJ equipment, uplighters, star-lit back drop and white LED dance floor ready for the evening reception. I am sure you will agree they did an amazing job and this set up really did add that ‘wow’ factor.

At the end of the night we managed to get an emotional photograph with wedding host Jack and our bride and groom. After so much planning, and Jack being such a big part of their special day, it was no surprise when tears of happiness came from our wedding party.

The following day we received a lovely email from the mother of the bride thanking us for all of our hard work – it really was our pleasure.

Once again, congratulations to Kate and Rob and thank you for letting us be such a huge part of your special day.
