On Saturday we had the pleasure of supplying one of our white LED dance floors for a wedding at the New Bath Hotel & Spa in Matlock Bath. Having been let down by another supplier, when Rebecca got in touch the week of her wedding I was delighted that we were able to help and supply a 14ft x 14ft white LED dance floor for her evening reception.
Here at Jackstar we provide our white LED dance floors for many weddings throughout the year. And it’s not surprising as brides and grooms want to ‘wow’ everyone as they make their way to the dance floor for the first time as husband and wife.
With our dance floor hire, preparation is key. Thankfully our highly experience team were able to pull together to ensure the smooth running of Rebecca’s special day. With only two days to go after booking, our operations manager spoke with Natalie, the wedding coordinator at the New Bath Hotel & Spa to ensure all of our timings were correct and check access to the function room. As set up was during a turn around myself and Grant made sure to arrive early so we could be as prepared as possible.
On arrival family and friends were still seat as the speeches were taking place. At this point, we were able to unload our white LED dance floor just outside of the function room in the garden without causing any disturbance. As guests made their way out of the function room via one door, we were able to enter through another, along with the band.
Before being able to set up table, chairs, and equipment needed to be moved. With little for Grant and I to do until this point, in true Jackstar style, we mucked in and helped the hotel team clear down and move tables and chairs to make room for the band and our white LED dance floor.
With many hands, it didn’t take long before we were able to lay down the white LED dance floor piece of piece.
To lay a 14ft x 14ft white LED dance floor we usually allow 45 minutes to ensure we have plenty of time. In this case we were able to lay the floor in around 20 minutes, leaving the band to finish piecing together their set before guests were able to re-enter the room for the evening reception.
